this doll is also gorgeous! is she considered an art doll? i’m just learning about that. i’ve been making dolls for children, and i’ve been trying to be very careful about materials i use, for safety. i wish i could paint their faces on, but i honestly don’t know what’s safe to use i need to research that.

i’m loving this website! i’ve really gotten into repurposing old clothes (and new lol). i’ve recently made sock monsters http://www.lemonwooclock.etsy.com , and i’ve been making a quilt out of some of my clothes, and i’ve made baby pants and hats out of tees. it’s so much easier to let go of your old stuff when you know it’s being given new life!

Thats great you have switched to cloth.

If you want to save even more money you could give prefolds or even traditional flats or terry squares a go. I found using a mixture of modern cloth nappies and more traditional flats and prefolds the most economical way to go. You could even make your own nappies – I like the frugal patterns from Fern and faerie. So glad to have spotted this! I have been saving old sweaters (lambswool & cashmere) and getting them at consignment shops when they are marked down. I am going to crochet them into pet beds for the animal shelter! Ijust wasn’t sure where or how to cut them up- now I do!! thanks
